In District 7040, RYLA is based on the Rotary 4 way test.
For Rotary, The Four-Way Test is the cornerstone of all action. It has been for years, and it will be in the future. Of the things we think, say or do
1) Is it the TRUTH?
2) Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3) Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The test is one of the hallmarks of Rotary. Since it was developed in 1932 by Herbert J. Taylor, who later became Rotary International President.

In the past, amongst the many RYLA participants, we had long and short term Youth Exchange students, others from Interact and Rotaract Clubs and some University scholarship recipients.
All great ambassadors for the many different programs offered by Rotary to youth.

At RYLA, during this leadership seminar, the participants will learn:
leadership skills,
communication skills,
how to build self-confidence and self esteem,
conflict resolution and
how to understand community and global citizenship,
cooperative behaviour and charity.

les aptitudes de communication;
la confiance en soi et l'estime de soi;
la résolution de conflit;
la compréhension des communautés locales et internationales;
la coopération et la charité.

During meals, participants are chosen to perform a "Who Am I?" Presenting themselves in front of others (School, work, interests).
